VENTURI
The Venturi VBB-3 is attempting to become the fastest electric-powered vehicle in the world, with a top speed of more than 400 mph.
Venturi Automobiles is teaming with the Ohio State University Center for Automotive Research to develop the fastest electric vehicle in the world. The Venturi VBB-3, and the appropriately titled Buckeye Bullet Team, intend on smashing a record they’ve already set twice before.
The team previously established world records of 302 and 307 mph, during previous runs at Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats in 2009 and 2010. The new and improved test car could push that limit to more than 430 mph, according to Venturi.
